Kiwanis Club of Omaha grant program

Priorities:  The Kiwanis Club of Omaha offers grants for projects designed to meet the basic health, welfare, and survival needs of disadvantaged young children in the Omaha area.  This includes services targeted to the most disadvantaged young people who may be at risk of serious physical or mental harm.  Priority will be given to programs serving children under the age of 13, with top priority given to projects that meet the basic health and welfare needs of disadvantaged children under the age of six.

Applications for 2008 Kiwanis Club grants must be received by Friday, March 14, 2008.  Applicants should use the Omaha/Douglas County Common Grant Application form.  Seven (7) signed, complete proposals must be mailed or hand delivered to the Kiwanis office at the address below.  Faxed or e-mailed copies will not be accepted.  Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) certified organizations that serve the Omaha metropolitan area.  The total amount in 2008 to grant through the Kiwanis Club of Omaha is $14,500.  The average size of grant award is $1,000.
