About the Omaha Community Foundation.

In 1982, the Omaha Community Foundation awarded its first grant — $5,000 to Youth Emergency Services. There began our mission: to help individuals, families, and companies invest in the future of our community through charitable giving.

Today, we are one of the 30 largest nonprofit community foundations in the country, with more than $430 million in assets and nearly $390 million already donated in greater Omaha and southwest Iowa.

We help donors — whether they're giving $100 or a million — manage their charitable giving. Our on-staff giving professionals share their tax and financial expertise, and we take care of the paperwork, making charitable donations as easy as picking up the phone or visiting our web site.
