Omaha Venture Group Gives Out Over $38,000 to Local Grassroots Organizations
Young Professionals' Innovative Giving Benefits Nine Nonprofits

OMAHA – On Thursday, May 29, 2008, the Omaha Venture Group (OVG) awarded $38,165 to nine local nonprofit organizations. OVG is the only organization of its kind in the metro area. It’s comprised of young professionals who work to make a bigger impact in the community through collaboration. The 25 members pool their individual contributions so that they can give a larger amount to more organizations. The members then conducted research within the community and selected nonprofits that will use OVG’s gift most effectively to further their mission and benefit the community.
